Ukraine, Kazakhstan Presidents discuss Kerch Strait clash in phone call
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUkrainian President Petro Poroshenko called his Kazakhstan counterpart, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on Wednesday to discuss last month's standoff in the Kerch Strait, the Kazakhstani leader's press office said, UrduPoint reported.
Russia's coast guards captured three Ukrainian naval ships on November 25 in its waters east of Crimea after the vessels crossed over illegally and maneuvered dangerously.
"Nursultan Nazarbayev urged Ukraine and Russia to resolve this issue through talks as soon as possible," the statement reads.
