EU supports Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azeri rapprochement

The chairman of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barros stated that the EU supports the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the stabilization of Armenian-Turkish relations, News Armenia reports.

He expressed his concern about clashes which took place in the region.

Barros touched on the theme of Turkey joining the EU and its closed borders with Armenia. He stated that the EU is discussing this issue with Turkey.
