President of Belarus expresses condolences over Magnitogorsk tragedy

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed his condolences to the head of the Russian state Vladimir Putin in connection with the explosion in a residential building in Magnitogorsk.

On Monday, December 31, in Magnitogorsk, as a result of an explosion of household gas, one of the entrances of a ten-story apartment building collapsed.  The Emergency Ministry completed a rescue operation today. The bodies of 39 people were found in the rubble.

According to the Belarusian leader, the country followed the search and rescue operations at the explosion site with anxiety and tension. “This misfortune, which happened on the eve of the New Year, did not leave Belarusians indifferent and we all take our hats off in memory of the victims of the terrible tragedy,” Lukashenko said.
