The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Igor Popov (Russia), Robert Bradtke (USA) and Bernard Fassier (France) - have discussed mechanisms for investigating violations on the contact line within the framework of their visits to Baku, Yerevan and Khankendi, Popov said, News Armenia reports.

The Russian official noted that the investigation is part of the declaration passed by Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian presidents in Sochi on March 5. The monitoring mission is not always able to give impartial results.

Popov said that the issue had been discussed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. A mechanism will be formed taking into account all sides. It will improve the humanitarian aspect of the work and stimulate trust between the sides. He also mentioned that he will visit all the territories involved in the conflict.
