Yerevan has agreed with Gazprom on preserving an internal price for Russian natural gas, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.

He recalled that Russia's Gazprom sells gas to its subsidiary Gazprom-Armenia, not to Armenia, therefore, the government's role is indirect

"But we agreed with Gazprom Armenia that the price will not change within the country," RIA Novosti cited the PM as saying.

Thus, the increase in gas price by $15 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas will not affect the republic's citizens.
