Police officer wounded in Kabardino-Balkaria attack

A traffic police officer was wounded when an unidentified gunman opened fire on a checkpoint in the North Caucasus republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, RIA Novosti said on Monday, quoting a police source.

The source said the attack took place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and that the officer's life was not in danger.
