Stavropol region introduces restrictions on transportation of pigs
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe government of Stavropol Territory has introduced a six-month restriction on the export of live pigs and pig products from the Krasnogvardeisk district, where an outbreak of African swine fever was recorded in early January, RIA Novosti reports, with reference to the head of the Territory's veterinary directorate, Vyacheslav Marchenko.
"The quarantine has been lifted, but we introduced restrictions for six months on the live export of meat and pig products; the restrictions do not apply only to the enterprises operating in a closed regime," Marchenko said.
