A magnitude-5.7 earthquake jolted 21 km SE of Lata, Solomon Islands at 02:07:23 GMT on Saturday, Trend reports citing the U.S. Geological Survey.

The epicenter, with a depth of 52.31 km, was initially determined to be at 10.8694 degrees south latitude and 165.9495 degrees east longitude.
