Russia is ready to employ the Japanese in Siberia and the Far East

President Dmitry Medvedev announced that Russia is willingness to give humanitarian assistance to Japan,  RIA Novosti reports.

"We are also ready to provide our Japanese neighbors - our colleagues – with humanitarian aid, to send food, water, medicines and other necessary products", Medvedev said at a meeting of the Russian Security Council.

He also added that it is necessary to consider the possibility of "taking in the Russian sanatoria   Japanese children and other victims for medical and psychological rehabilitation."

"We must now think, perhaps, about the use, if needed, of the employment potential of our neighbors, especially in sparsely populated areas of Siberia and the Far East, " added Medvedev.
