King of Bahrain exposes plot

The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has announced that a foreign plot has been organized against him, Reuters reports.

A tent camp in Bahrain was destroyed last week. The Bahraini opposition have said that at least five people have died. The authorities earlier announced an emergency situation and invited the military from Saudi Arabia.

The King said that the had plot failed and thanked the military support from the neighbouring states. The King clarified that the plot took 20-30 years to organize and had been awaiting the necessary elements for its implementation.
