Gennady Akhramovich: Azerbaijan is able to create special atmosphere for sports events

Azerbaijan can create special atmosphere for sports events, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan Gennady Akhramovich said today in an interview with Vestnik Kavkazka at the sidelines of the World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling in Baku.

“I always say that it's a pleasure to come to this gymnastic arena. Azerbaijan and Baku are able to create special atmosphere at the sports events. I'm really really happy that Belarusians are here. It's especially great since soon the second European Games will be held in Minsk.

"I think that relations of friendship and cooperation in all areas between our peoples also existin in sports sphere, which makes me very happy. I Azerbaijani athletes at our competitions and Belarusian athletes at Azerbaijani competitions. I want to express my deep gratitude to sports leadership of Azerbaijan for invaluable experience they shared with us as true friends during the preparation for the second European Games," he noted.

The World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling is being held in Baku. Some 200 gymnasts from 30 countries are taking part in the championship.

Six World Cups in Trampoline, qualifying for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, will be held in 2019 and 2020, with two of these championships being held in Baku.
