Russian Federation Council's delegation, led by its chairman Valentina Matvienko, left on an official visit to Brunei today, the Federation Council's press service reported, adding that it will last until February 19.

It was planned that the trip will end on February 22. Thus, the head of the Federation Council will have time to return to Russia to attend the Russian President's address to the Federal Assembly, TASS reported.

Earlier, Matvienko said that she would not be able to attend Putin's address to the Federal Assembly on February 20 due to her official visit to the countries of South-East Asia.
