Two militants killed in Dagestan - 1

Two militants involved in murdering a bailiff in the Laksky District of Dagestan have been killed in a special operation today, the Russian Investigation Committee said.

The bailiff was shot dead last night. A counter-terrorism operation was started by the National-Counter-Terrorism Committee. Empty houses were blocked in the village of Kani in the Kulinsky District. Three militants refused to surrender and opened fire. Two of them were killed.

The police are investigating the incident.
