Patriarch Kirill accepts Kim Jong-un's invitation to visit North Korea

He commented on the words of Metropolitan Sergy, the patriarch's exarch in Southeast Asia, who said that Patriarch Kirill might visit North Korea in the near future at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
"The patriarch plans to visit North Korea, but it is at present too early to speak about specific dates," told Interfax cited the priest as saying.
The patriarch visited Pyongyang in 2006, when he was a metropolitan and head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations. On that occasion, he sanctified the city's Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.
