Georgian economic minister reports to parliament

Despite reforms, Georgia still depends on import,  Minister of Economy Vera Kobalia stated today in a speech in Parliament, Georgia Online reports. She said rising global prices are immediately reflected in the Georgian market and the social situation of the citizens. She also noted the need to develop product lines and create new jobs.

Kobalia said Georgia has become a center for re-export of cars and today in this sphere employs 15,000 people.

She also claimed that Georgia has no monopolies.
