Putin's participation at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum confirmed

Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2019), Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"This is a forum in which Putin traditionally takes part," TASS cited him as saying. The spokesman recalled that the Russian president "traditionally attends a plenary session and other formats on the sidelines of the forum." 

Peskov did not say who will be the SPIEF’s guests this year, highlighting that it will be "a meaningful event in the global forum life."

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2019) will be held on June 6-8, 2019.
