Russia-Georgia fibre-optic cable capacity increased 10 times

Rostelekom company has increased the capacity of the undersea fibre-optic cable system Russia-Georgia by 10 times up to 22.5 Gbps, Business Georgia reports.

New equipment of wavelength-division multiplexing DWDM was fixed. Due to next stage of modernization the capacity of the cable system will be increased to 60 Gbps.
