Iran closes its airspace to Boeing 737 MAX

Iran has closed its airspace to Boeing 737 Max aircraft alongside other nations following two fatal crashes in five months involving that type of plane.

"A ban on the passage of the Boeing Max aircraft through Iran’s skies has been issued as has been the case with other countries," the semi-official news agency Fars cited cited head of public relations at Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization Reza Jafarzadeh as saying.
