Jewish organizations condemn the massacre by a white supremacist of 49 worshipers at two New Zealand mosques, The Jerusalem Post writes.

New Zealand synagogues closed down for Shabbat for the first time ever, in solidarity with the bereaved families of those killed in the massacres at the Al Noor and Linwood Mosques in the city of Christchurch.

Representatives of Jewish institutions and organizations from around the world condemned the attacks.

Jewish Agency Chairman Isaac Herzog tweeted, "The Jewish Agency and the NZ Jewish Council stand in solidarity with the bereaved families. We are united in fighting violent hatred and racism."
