Russia-U.S. consultations on Venezuela held in Rome

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov held consultations in Rome with U.S. Special Envoy Elliott Abrams on the situation in Venezuela.

According to the source in the Russian delegation, the talks started at the Westin Excelsior Rome hotel at 09:00am local time (11:00am MSK) and lasted for two hours, RIA Novosti reported.

Ryabkov and Abrams are expected to hold two separate press conferences - at the Russian Embassy and the U.S. embassy.
