Siren alarms sound in southern Israel

A second siren alarm was sounded at night in Israel's Eshkol Regional Council. The region, which borders on Gaza, had a previous red alert overnight, the press service of the Israel Defense Forces reported.

The IDF spokesman said details were under investigation. A previous alert was sounded about 40 minutes prior. Israel's south has been on high latest since Monday as rockets from the Hamas-run enclave have been shot into Israel promoting Israeli air strikes, the Jerusalem Post reported.
