Miller and Berdymuhamedov hold talks in Ashkhabad
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussia's Gazprom plans to resume purchases of natural gas from Turkmenistan very soon, CEO Alexei Miller said in an interview to the Turkmen television broadcast.
Following his meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov in Ashakhabad, Miller said that the company and the country see great prospects for bilateral cooperation.
"The most important thing is that we will continue our work in the framework of a contract for the purchase of Turkmen gas in the nearest future," he stressed.
"Cooperation in the purchases of Turkmen gas is the major direction in which we have been always working, we have an intergovernmental accord and we have a deal we are trying to restart now," the Prime news agency cited the Gazprom CEO as saying.
