Russia to strengthen cooperation with Middle Eastern countries
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaRussia is ready to further strengthen partnership with countries of the Middle East and North Africa in all areas, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a greetings letter (posted on the Kremlin website) to participants of the Arab League summit, which will be held today in Tunisia.
Head of Russian stressed that there's tense situation in many countries of the Middle East and North Africa regions, which make the Arab League as a mechanism of multilateral dialogue and cooperation extremely relevant.
According to him, existing crises in the region should be resolved through political and diplomatic methods. "This is especially true when it comes to Syria, where, thanks in large part to Russia's efforts, we were able to inflict crushing blow on the forces of terror, re-launch political process, begin to resolve urgent humanitarian problems," he said.
He also noted that in order to stabilize situation in the region, it's necessary to resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict, the outcome of which would be a "just solution to the Palestinian problem."
"Russia is ready to further strengthen partnership with the Middle Eastern and North African states in all areas," he added.
