More countries to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia

According to First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrei Denisov, a number of countries are considering recognizing Abkhazia and South Ossetia. However, Moscow still does not expect worldwide recognition of these republics, YuGA.ru reports.

Former First Deputy Foreign Minister Fedor Shelov-Kovedyaev named Kyrgyzstan and several countries in Latin America and Africa among the states that could recognize the republics.

At the moment South Ossetia is recognized by Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Nauru and Western Sahara.
