Remains of 21 Red Army soldiers found in Chechnya
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe remains of 21 Red Army soldiers were found in the Naursky district during the search for the ‘Watch of Memory’ action, the chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society in Chechnya, Abdul Alaudinov said.
According to him, the volunteers from the Moscow region and Stavropol region, as well as the local Grozny detachment, raised the remains of 21 fighters on April 4-6.
Alaudinov explained that aerial photographs taken by the enemy pilots during World War II helped to establish the positions of the troops. So, from archival documents it follows that tens of thousands of soldiers may lie in the steppes of the Naursky and Nadterechny regions of Chechnya.
