Natela Bolatayeva: There's no arena like the one in Baku
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThere's no arena in the world like the one in capital of Azerbaijan, Georgian gymnast Natela Bolatayeva said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza today after qualifying ribbon and clubs competitions at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
“These competitions are very important. Baku always hosts high level competitions, and there's no arena in the world like this one. That's why I want to thank the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for hospitality,” she said.
In addition, Georgian gymnast praised the level of Azerbaijani gymnastics school. “We have been acquainted with them for a long time, Azerbaijan has very strong gymnastics and strong athletes, we can learn a lot from them,” she said.
The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will last until April 28, 2019.
More than 200 gymnasts from 39 countries are competing at the World Cup. During the event, 25 teams will compete in group exercises and more than 70 gymnasts will perform in individual programs.
