Yerevan to modernize zoo

Yerevan will transform its zoo into a modern zoology and botany park, director-founder of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets in Armenia Ruben Khachatryan said, News Armenia reports.

The project is called Kirch (Canyon). The new park will also boast a science-studies center and a recreation zone.

The animals will enjoy more comfortable conditions, their territory will be expanded.

The project is at the technical-economic planning stage. Negotiations are held with the German bank KfW to receive financing. The negotiation process will end in 2-3 weeks. It will determine the terms and quantities of investments.
