Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has picked up a candidate for the position of High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Armenian media reported.

According to 168 Zham.am, the position will be taken by the former mayor of Glendale, USA, Zareh Sinanian.

Spokesman for the Prime Minister Vladimir Karapetyan refused to comment on the rumors about Sinanian’s appointment, saying that the Prime Minister will take the decision in accordance with the procedure established by law, ARKA reported.

In addition, he said that a draft law on changing the structure of the government has not yet been adopted by parliament in the final reading, therefore it's early to speak about this appointment.
