Ingush opposition member does not understand reasons for arrest
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaLeader of Ingush opposition Magomed Khazbiyev, released from detention by the order of the head of Ingushetia, plans to appeal the arrest and denies his parents promised Yevkurov that he will not take part in protests, Kommersant reports.
Khazbiyev was suspected of organizing a protest in Nazran on March 23. Some 100 people blocked a street and demanded people kidnapped by the law-enforcers to be returned.
Yunus-Bek Yevkurov released Khazbiyev.
Khazbiyev said that he will not stop participating in protests and that his parents did not make promises to Yevkurov. The opposition believes that Yevkurov released him to avoid stirring up the public.
Khazbiyev also said that he did not organize the protest in Nazran.
The Kommersant paper says that it is unknown which document allowed Khazbiyev to be released. The court did not consider his complaint and the republic head does not have the legal right to annul court decisions.
