Uniper invested 44 mln euros into Nord Stream-2 in January–March
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaGermany’s Uniper invested 44 million euro into the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project in January–March, according to the company's report published today.
The company also noted that the implications of the updated EU Gas Directive for Nord Stream 2 are not yet predictable.
Uniper recalled that a compromise version of the amendments to the directive proposed by Germany and France was adopted. As expected, the law will come into force by mid-2019, the company added.
The Nord Stream 2 project includes construction of two gas pipeline lines with a total capacity of 55 bln cubic meters of gas per year from the coast of Russia through the Baltic Sea to Germany. The cost of construction is estimated at 9.5 bln euro, the launch of the pipeline is expected before the end of 2019.
