Iran and Turkmenistan confirm commitment to long-term partnership

Presidents of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and hi s Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, met yesterday in Tehran and reaffirmed their commitment to the long-term full partnership, Trend reports quoting the press service of the Turkmen government as saying.

The head of Turkmenistan was in Iran on an official visit at the invitation of the Iranian side to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of Novruz.

Participants of the meeting, highlighted the significant potential for cooperation and possibilities for its implementation in various industries. The meeting discussed the implementation of earlier agreements and the prospects for further cooperation.

Both sides also exchanged views on a number of topical issues of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
