Zaha Hadid Architects completes stadium for 2022 World Cup in Qatar
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaZaha Hadid Architects has completed the $575 million Al Wakrah Stadium, a venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, located in the city of Al Wakrah.
The 40,000-seat stadium was opened with the Amir Cup final between Al Duhail and Al Sadd (4:1) yesterday.
Zaha Hadid Architects was founded by Pritzker-winning architect Zaha Hadid in 1980. The studio has been led by Patrik Schumacher since Hadid passed away on March 31, 2016.
The next World Cup will be played in seven cities of Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
