The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation takes the issue of organizing international gymnastics tournaments very seriously, Moldovan gymnasts Anastasia Zacrevschi said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza after the qualification round with hoop and ball routines at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships in Baku.

"The AGF takes the issue of organizing tournaments very seriously. I really like what the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation's doing - there's atmosphere like at show or concert at its competitions. It's very unusual and very different from what we see at other tournaments," she admitted.

"Another nice thing that the Baku fans support all gymnasts without exception. It gives you a huge boost and strength," Anastasia Zacrevschi added.

Baku is hosting the 35th Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships at the National Gymnastics Arena. Athletes from 35 countries are taking part in the championships. During the four-day championships, senior female gymnasts will perform in the individual program, while junior gymnasts will participate in the group exercise program. In total, the gymnasts will compete for 8 medal sets.
