Ukraine's Pavel Klimkin tenders his resignation

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin has tendered his resignation today.

"As I have promised, I have just written my letter of resignation," he informed in a video published on his Facebook page.

Klimkin explained that he would send the letter to the Verkhovna Rada and to Ukrainian President-Elect Vladimir Zelensky after his inauguration on May 20. 

He also announced his intention to run for the Ukrainian parliament.

Pavel Klimkin has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine since June 19, 2014.
