Armenian President Armen Sarkisyan signed a decree appointing Vahe Ghazaryan as deputy chief of the Armenian Police and commander to the country’s police troops, the president’s press office reports.

He succeeded Levon Yeranosyan in office. The later is now being tried for abusing powers with committing violence and using arms and special means. He is also charged with pocketing financial resources from the police’s social packages, ARKA recalls.
