Azerbaijan is Russia’s main rival in freestyle wrestling

Azerbaijani wrestlers will be the main rivals of the Russian team at the European Freestyle Wrestling Championships, double Olympic champion Maharbek Khadartsev said, P-sport reports.

"The team of Azerbaijan is very strong, and besides, six out of seven athletes there are students of the Russian fighting school. This is our main competitor, a very powerful and professional team in which each wrestler can claim victory in his weight category," Khadartsev said.

Among other Russian rivals he named the teams of Turkey and Ukraine.
The European Freestyle Wrestling Championships will end on March 30.
