Nazarbayev plans political modernization of Kazakhstan

The political system of Kazakhstan will be steadily modernized, the election program of Nursultan Nazarbayev says, RIA Novosti reports.

Presidential elections in Kazakhstan are due to take place on April 3. There are four candidates for the position of president: current president Nursultan Nazarbayev, senator Gani Kasymov, communist Zhambyl Akhmetbekov and ecologist Mels Yeleusizov.

Nazarbayev also promises to continue establishing a highly-professional compact civil service. He will also reform the security service system and improve it, as well as the defensive capacity of the country.

Nazarbayev promises to be reasonable and responsible in his foreign policy. He thinks that Kazakhstan now has great potential to deal with these problems.
