U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington's relations with Moscow had been damaged by Robert Mueller investigation, adding that it could still be improved.

"I think we’re going to have a good relationship with Russia," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.

The U.S. leader noted that he thinks it’s hurt by the "phony witch hunt."

On April 18, U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller finalized a report on his investigation into the alleged collusion between the Trump 2016 campaign team and Russia. The report showed that the probe found no evidence of collusion between Trump and his campaign with Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election - which had been previously stated by Moscow multiple times.
