National Park on fire in North Ossetia

The National Park Bekan in the Ardonsky District of North Ossetia is on fire. The fire has reached an oil base between Ardon and Digora, Yuga.ru reports.


An official from the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Community in North Ossetia Alan Tatarov said that 10 kilometres of dry grass have burned along the road from the junkyard in Ardon to Bekan. Some burned down trees blocked part of the federal highway.


Fire support may be sent from the Ardonsky District. The cause of fire has not been identified yet. The fire groups are protecting local houses from the blaze.
