Germany to increase defense budget

Germany will increase its defense budget, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in the weekly podcast.

According to her, for many years the financial support of the Bundeswehr has been disappointing. “Therefore, it’s good that for several years we have been raising the budget for our security, for our armed forces. We will do it again next year. Security means an opportunity to buy more modern tools and perform new tasks,”  the Chancellor said.
