Swiss president arrives in Armenia

Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey has arrived in Armenia, Mediamax reports.

The presidents of Armenia and Switzerland will meet on Thursday. They will have a press-conference after the meeting. The Swiss president will attend the opening of the Swiss embassy in Yerevan.

Mediamax says that Micheline Calmy-Rey was an unofficial mediator in normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations. Armenia and Turkey signed protocols in Zurich in Autumn 2009.
