Georgian police prevent terrorist attack at Kutaisi mayor’s office

The Georgian police said that they prevented a terrorist attack at the mayor’s office of Kutaisi, Imereti Region, West Georgia. Several suspects were detained, RIA Novosti cites Imedi as saying.

A large quantity of TNT was found.

Interpressnews says that the suspects are believed to be from Zugdudi, Samegrelo-Zemo Svanetia Region, near Abkhazia.

The territory around the mayor’s office was closed off.
