Russia to urge U.S. and Iran to begin dialogue

Russia will try to persuade the United States and Iran to start "civilized" dialogue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a news conference following the meeting with United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Moscow.

According to the Russian minister, Washington and Tehran colleagues should move away from this dangerous line.

"This, of course, assumes the end to the policy of ultimatums, sanctions and blackmail," Reuters cited Lavrov as saying.
