Vehicle explodes in Turkey's Hatay, claiming lives

At least three people were killed after a vehicle exploded in southern Turkish province of Hatay today, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

"It is obvious that the car was bomb-laden," Anadolu Agency cited Erdogan as saying.

The explosion in Reyhanli claimed three lives, all Syrian nationals, the president said citing Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu.

Anadolu Agency also reported two injured in the blast, adding that ambulances and police rushed to the scene. Security has been boosted in the town, and roads have been blocked. No damage to buildings and infrastructure objects has been done.

Earlier, the province's governor Rahmi Dogan said that the cause of the blast was yet unknown.
