Putin and Netanyahu discuss cooperation on Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed Syria over the phone today, according to the Kremlin website.

The sides reviewed issues of Russian-Israeli cooperation on Syria, taking into account the results of the trilateral meeting of the national security advisers of Russia, Israel and the United States, held on June 25, 2019.

During the conversation, both leaders stressed the need to continue cooperation between the two defense ministries, Jerusalem Post reported.

The two leaders also agreed to continue personal contacts.
