Russian president toughens responsibility of functionaries

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has introduced a bill on the right of citizens to request information on the work of state structures and toughening the responsibility of functionaries viewing the requests, the Kremlin press service reports.

There is currently no responsibility for violating a request order by functionaries. The bill is planned to be updated with the fifth article of the Code of Administrative Violations.
