8 UN workers killed in north Afghan city

Eight UN workers were killed in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharia on Friday during a clash following a protest against the burning in the US of the Muslim holy book the Quran , CNN reports.

One Russian citizen is among the injured.
