US expresses condolences to Turkey in connection with terrorist attack in Irbil

The head of the US State Department, Mike Pompeo, expressed condolences to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu over the terrorist attack against Turkish diplomats in Iraqi Irbil, the official representative of the State Department Morgan Ortagus reported.

Last Wednesday, an armed attack took place in a restaurant in Irbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. One Turkish diplomat died. Also as a result of the attack, in which three people participated, two citizens of Iraq were killed, RIA Novosti reports.
