Turan Bayramov reaches EYOF Baku 2019 finals

Azerbaijani judoka Turan Bayramov reached the finals as part of the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF Baku 2019).

In order to reach the finals, Bayramov (60 kg) defeated Turkish athlete Muhammed Demirel, Austrian judoka Adam Safer and Greek athlete Mikis Tontimidis.

Azerbaijani female judoka Gulshan Bashirova (44 kg) will compete in a consolation match. In the first match, she was defeated by Bulgarian judoka Anastasiia Balaban.

The XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival is being held in Baku on July 21-27. The festival will be attended by more than 3,900 athletes from 48 European countries. Athletes will compete in ten kinds of sports - gymnastics, athletics, basketball, cycling, handball, judo, swimming, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. In total, athletes will compete for 135 sets of medals.
