Two mass shootings shock Chicago
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAt least three people were killed and 40 were wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago.
There were two mass shootings overnight in Chicago — both in the West Side’s Lawndale neighborhood. The latest shooting happened at 18th and Keeler Avenue Sunday around 3:40 a.m. at a block party. Police said unknown suspects fired shots into a large group of people, CBS reported.
Before that, in the city of El Paso, a gunman opened fire Saturday morning in a shopping area packed with thousands of people. The attack killed 20 and wounded more than two dozen.
Hours later in Dayton, Ohio, a gunman wearing body armor and carrying extra magazines opened fire in a popular nightlife area, killing nine and injuring at least 26 people.
The El Paso shooting was being investigated as a possible hate crime as authorities worked to confirm whether a racist, anti-immigrant screed posted online shortly beforehand was written by the man arrested. Authorities identified the El Paso suspect as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius from Allen, the AP reported.
